New Councillor Elected

The NSW Electoral Commission have completed their countback process to fill the vacant position on Council due to the resignation of Peter Dwyer in July. Mr Darren Clarke was declared the successful candidate and will commence official duties when he undertakes the Oath at the September Ordinary meeting.

ENGIE is hosting two community information sessions for a proposed wind and solar farm, south of Hay. The local community is invited to attend and help shape the project. Meet the ENGIE team at the Hay War Memorial Hall on Wednesday 24 August, 5pm-7pm and Thursday 25 August, 8am-10am.

BayWa r.e. Projects Australia is the proponent of a wind farm near Hay, and is currently preparing a development application to the NSW Government. A community information session will be held at the Hay War Memorial Hall on Thursday 19 May, 5pm-8pm.

Public Health Alert - Mosquito Warning

NSW Health is alerting the community to protect themselves against mosquito bites. Japanese encephalitis virus has been detected in samples from commercial pig farms at five locations in southern and western NSW indicating the virus is likely circulating in the mosquito population.
