                  Public Health Alert - Mosquito Warning
                  
                  NSW Health is alerting the community to protect themselves against mosquito bites. Japanese encephalitis virus has been detected in samples from commercial pig farms at five locations in southern and western NSW indicating the virus is likely circulating in the mosquito population.

                  Health warning to avoid mosquito bites
                  
                  NSW Health is urging people to take extra precautions to protect themselves against mosquito bites and acquiring a mosquito-borne disease, particulary Kunjin and Murray Valley encephalitis viruses with detections in NSW.
