Council has changed the way it is managing its suppliers and contractors and is inviting businesses that are interested in supplying their services or goods to Hay Shire Council to register through the purchasing platform VendorPanel, all relevant information including; insurances, licences/tickets, and quoted rates, can be lodged through VendorPanel.

If your business has not received an invitation via email and wishes to be included on Council’s VendorPanel list please contact Hay Shire Council on 02 6990 1100 or email tenders@hay.nsw.gov.au to receive the link.

New General Manager for Hay Shire Council

The Mayor of Hay Shire Council, Councillor Bill Sheaffe, has announced that Council has appointed a new General Manager. David Webb, appointed at a Special meeting of Council held on 30th July 2019, will take up the position with Council on 16th September 2019. The Mayor indicated David Webb had been chosen from a field of seven applicants.

The Mayor advised David would be coming to Hay Shire Council from Lockhart Shire Council, where he has served as Director Engineering and Environmental Services. The Mayor said, "David had impressive local government and private sector experience and has served his career to date in rural areas and we look forward to welcoming David and his family to Hay".

David is excited about the opportunity to be the next General Manager of Hay Shire Council and becoming part of the Hay Shire community, ‘I am excited for the opportunity to get know the community and people at the Shire. The area has always impressed me with its welcoming and friendly nature’ he stated. "The Council has some really great projects coming up and I look forward to delivering them for the community."
