Notice is hereby given in accordance with Sections 644, 644A and 632A of the Local Government Act 1993 (NSW) that Hay Shire Council proposes to establish Alcohol-Free Zones and Alcohol Prohibited Areas within the Hay township.

Hay Shire Council has two draft plans on public exhibition, Developer Contributions Plan and Showgrounds Master Plan, these plans are available for comment and submissions up until 5.00pm 12th July 2025.

2025-2035 Long Term Financial Plan

Hay Shire Council's 2025-2035 Long Term Financial Plan is on exhibition for public comment. The draft paln can be viewed on Council’s website or at the Hay shire Council Administration Centre, 134 Lachlan Street, Hay. Submissions will be received up until 4pm Friday 6th June 2025. Submissions can be emailed to mail@hay.nsw.gov.au or posted/dropped into 134 Lachlan Street, Hay.

Waste Transfer Station opening days over Easter

The Hay Waste Transfer Station will be closed Good Friday but open on Easter Sunday as per normal.
Easter Saturday and Easter Monday are closed and it will be open again on Tuesday as per normal.
