Important Flood Advice – Update 15 December 2022

Current River height: 5.16m and falling quickly. The water is steady in Maude and rising at Booligal, there are expected large inflows from the lower Mirrool Creek and Lachlan River over the coming days, with an expected peak now of 3.2m in Booligal  this week. Water is falling in Hillston. All flood gates are now open. Staff will undertake another level check in Booligal tomorrow as the predicted peak approaches. Grader crews have been deployed to rural areas this week and sealed road repairs have commenced. Some Roads are also closed. If you require flood assistance please contact SES on 132 500. The water is steady in Maude and rising at Booligal, there are expected large inflows from the lower Mirrool Creek and Lachlan River over the coming days, with an expected peak now of 3.2m in Booligal  this week. All flood gates are now open. Staff will undertake another level check in Booligal tomorrow as the predicted peak approaches. Current River height: 6.17m and falling. The water is steady in Maude and rising at Booligal, there are expected large inflows from the lower Mirrool Creek and Lachlan River over the coming days and week, with an expected peak of 3.4m in Booligal mid late this week. All flood gates are now open. Council staff are continuing to monitor the levees as needed during the day only. Council is undertaking regular reconnaissance in Booligal and Maude, with level check in Booligal today as the predicted peak approaches.
