Drought Community Support Initiative funding

As the devastating drought continues, Vinnies are doing what we have always done – providing a hand up to people in need.
If you are a farmer, farm worker or farm supplier/contractor who is doing it tough because of the drought you may be entitled to receive a one-off payment of $3,000 funded by the Australian Government’s Drought Community Support Initiative Round 2 (DCSI). You need to be over 18 years of age, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and live or work in an eligible Local Government Area (LGA).

Vinnies and the Salvation Army are delivering the DCSI, and the eligible LGAs have been divided between the two organisations. You can find out which organisation is providing assistance in your LGA by clicking here

You can find out more about the DCSI and other Vinnies drought assistance by checking out our Frequently Asked Questions page.
For more information on using a Statutory Declaration to support your drought funding application, click here.

If you would like to support communities affected by the drought you can make a donation to the Vinnies Drought Appeal.

For advice and more information on applications, call 1300 846 643.
