Urgent repairs to the the filtered water main serving South Hay will start around 9.30am this morning and should take around 2 hours, during this time there will be no filtered water to South Hay.
Residents are advised Council Parks and Gardens staff will be trimming overgrown vegetation along the cycleways to provide a clear pathway.
Due to the lack of a quorum, the April Ordinary Council Meeting will be adjourned until Monday 29th April at 9.30am.
The Pool will close for the current season on the 7th of April 2019
Council advises residents that the Hay town filtered water supply is tested regularly and conforms to Australian drinking water standards. The water from Council’s filtered water supply is safe for residents to drink.

In response to the closure of the Hire Car Service, the Hay Community Transport will operate a vehicle to provide transport for community members within the town from Monday the 9th April 2018. This service will operate on a temporary basis between 8.00 am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday. Community transport is available to all persons. Bookings can be made by phoning 0488299904.
There will be no changes to the garbage collection and tip opening times over the Easter period. Council's office will alos be closed, re-opening on Tuesday 3rd April, for any emergencies please call 02 6990 1100 and follow the prompts.

Commencing Monday 5th March, the John Houstom Memorial Swimming Pool will open at 3pm from Monday to Fridays, and 12noon on weekends. The closing time remains at 7pm, except for Tuesdays where it closes at 6pm.
Early morning swimming is no longer running this season.
On behalf of the Hay Mardi Gras Committee, Hay Shire Council wishes to advise that the Hay Mardi Gras Parade will be held along the full length of Lachlan Street and into Macauley Street between Lachlan Street and Edward Street.
A road closure will be in place 12.30pm to 3pm on Saturday 3rd of March 2018.

A minor incident at the filtered water plant this morning could result in some discoloured (reddish) water appearing in the system. The discolouration is not a health issue, but if your water appears like this, please flush your internal taps for a few minutes to clear the problem.
The filtered water supply has been turned back on after a major water break. Council apologises for any inconvenience.

The Waste Transfer Station will be closed on the morning of Sunday 24th December 2017, Christmas Day, and the mornings of Wednesday 27th December 2017 and Tuesday 2nd January 2018. Other days will operate as normal.
