The NSW Office of Water has advised that the Murrumbidgee town water supply allocations have been increased to 95%.

As a result Council has altered the restrictions applying to the Hay town water supply from Level 2 to Level 1.

Current Water Restrictions for Hay

Level 1 (Residential)

Level 1 allows the use of water for:

Lawns and gardens
Watering by any method, everyday except between 9.00am and 5.00pm
Watering of lawns and gardens by hand-held hose is permitted anytime

Washing of buildings, paved areas, footpaths, driveways etc
Permitted anytime by hand-held hose or pressure washer only

Private swimming pools and spas
No restrictions

Vehicle washing (Private)
Permitted anytime by hand-held hose or pressure washer
