Ag Day 2018

Ag Day 2018

The Hay Outback Info Centre in Moppett Street will be celebrating Ag Day on Wednesday 21 November 2018. An initiative by the National Farmers’ Federation, Ag Day aims to celebrate the good that our farmers do each year. Whether it’s helping feed a hungry world, producing some of the world’s most loved natural fibres, caring for our environment or creating jobs.
With events being held throughout Australia, everyone is asked to show support by wearing a bright green shirt on Ag day and sharing Ag pictures and stories on social media. It would be great to see photos of Hay shared on social media using the hashtags #Agday@Hay and #GrowForGood

Hay Outback Info Centre will have an Ag Display and is inviting everyone to Call in for a Cuppa from 10am to 12 noon on Wednesday 21 November. This is a big week for Hay with the ‘Paint the Town Red Sale’ heralding the start of Christmas promotions on Friday and the Hay Races on Saturday. What a great way to kick it off with a day to show support for our farmers and Ag Industry.

Everyday visitors from throughout Australia and overseas call into the Hay Outback Info Centre asking questions about Hay’s agriculture industry and this is a great opportunity to help educate Hay’s visitors about the important food and fibre production in the region.

We invite everyone to join us at Hay Outback Info Centre between 10am and 12 noon for a cuppa, cake and to celebrate our rural industry.
