    Commencing Monday 5th March, the John Houstom Memorial Swimming Pool will open at 3pm from Monday to Fridays, and 12noon on weekends. The closing time remains at 7pm, except for Tuesdays where it closes at 6pm.

    Early morning swimming is no longer running this season.

    On behalf of the Hay Mardi Gras Committee, Hay Shire Council wishes to advise that the Hay Mardi Gras Parade will be held along the full length of Lachlan Street and into Macauley Street between Lachlan Street and Edward Street.     

    A road closure will be in place 12.30pm to 3pm on Saturday 3rd of March 2018.                                              

    The Hay Mardi Gras Committee apologises for any inconvenience this may cause. Should you have any queries in relation to this matter please contact Council’s administration centre during normal office hours on 02 69901100

    Collections due Monday 25th December will be moved to Tuesday 26th December, and collections due Tuesday 26th December will be collected on Wednesday 27th December.

    Collections due Monday 1st January will moved to Tuesday 2nd January, and collections due Tuesday 2nd January will be collected on Wednesday 3rd January.

    The Waste Transfer Station will be closed on the morning of Sunday 24th December 2017, Christmas Day, and the mornings of Wednesday 27th December 2017 and Tuesday 2nd January 2018. Other days will operate as normal.

  • Temporary Reduction in Raw Water Pressure

    The Pine Street Raw Water Reservoir is scheduled to be emptied the week commencing 4th September
    to enable the connection of a booster pump and other minor maintenance works to be
    carried out. These works are expected to take two weeks and residents may experience a reduction
    in raw water pressure during this time. Council apologises for any inconvenience this may cause.
