Access to the Old Tip

Access to the old tip has been made available for businesses or individuals that use heavy vehicles or cart large amounts of rubbish regularly. A swipe card is required for access, which can be obtained through an application proccess with Council's administration centre.

Asbestos
Asbestos cannot be disposed at the Hay Waste Disposal Site without prior written consent from Council.

Drum Muster
Council participates in the Drum Muster Program which is the recycling of farm chemical drums. Anyone wishing to dispose of chemical drums can make an appointment by contacting the Hay Shire Council Office during business hours.

Recycling
Council recycles the following segregated waste

• Scrap metals
• Car Batteries
• Sump Oil

Council operates a paper and cardboard recycling centre in Dunera Way (between the Dog Pound and the RFS building). Cardboard and paper products can be left in the collection cages at any time.

Tyres can be disposed of at the Waste Disposal Depot and incur the following fees:-
